Position Overview & Specifications
The Pharmacy Manufacturing Unit at Queen's Hospital Burton makes a range of medicinal products on its busy production lines generating an income of over £1.5M per year for the Trust. Following a period of consolidation the department now seeks Production Operatives to carry out manual, technical and distribution duties in line with Good Manufacturing Practice and the department's own operating guidelines.
The Person
The successful candidates will be strong team players with the desire to learn and an eye for detail. The nature of the work can at times be repetitive but requires the operators to have full concentration for the whole of the process they are working on. Mistakes cost money leading to customers not receiving their orders on time so accuracy is paramount.
Flexibility is also required as the operators may be required to work on several different tasks in one day and to flex their start and finish times to fit in with production plans and meet delivery schedules.
