Position Overview & Specifications
Personality, not experience. That’s what being a warehouse colleague at Sainsbury’s is all about. If you’re positive, flexible and willing to learn, you’ve got a really good future here. Whether you want a safe, secure job or even the first step on the ladder of a career to be proud of.
Our teams accurately pick and assemble products across the warehouse, ready for our fleet of drivers to get them on the road and off to the stores. You’ll be dealing with anything and everything – from fresh fruit to washing machines. It’s fast-changing and fast-moving, so you’ll need to be good with English, physically fit and raring to go. You’ll never be bored.
Our warehouses operate seven days a week and we have a variety of shifts – earlies, middles, lates and nights. The benefits are really good too – including paid holiday, colleague discount card after 4 weeks that gives you and a second user 10% on most items in Sainsburys, Argos and Habitat. Discounts is increased at Sainsburys to 15% every payday for 5 days plus 15% at Argos on every payday, food and hot drinks provided in colleague areas in all our Depots, and lots of extra benefits like the Cycle to Work scheme. And if a career is what you’re interested in, most of our managers started off as warehouse colleagues – so that door’s open too.
